Between 2001 and early 2003, I have worked for Pangea Lingua as a freelance translator. I was paid mostly on time prior to 2003, and then it was getting harder and harder to get payments. You had to call and fax the invoices repeatedly. One day, when I called (it seemed to me that she was the only person in her company at the time, everyone else was either left or fired). I called and spoke to Tamra Lewis, President of Pangea about the dozens of unpaid invoices (several thousands of dollars) many times before,

but this time I told her that I had been very concerned that the project manager who had sent me the jobs never answered my calls and never got back to me on any of the unpaid invoices. I asked her if her company was in trouble. She hangs up the phone immediately without a word and I was not able to get in touch with her ever since no matter how many phone calls, emails or faxes I sent her to request the payments. She was just like disappeared from the earth.

Later, I placed Pangea Lingua with a collection agency but didn't get anything. I didn't know where to turn for help after that and had to just give up. In the past 10 years, I tried to search up information about Tamra Lewis many times and was worried she would start another business under a new name and do the same scams to other translators, but I didn't find much information until now. I learned that her husband left her with someone used to work in her company and they took most of her money (which I don't know if it was true), but that was not a good excuse for her to scam the people who had worked so hard for her without an explanation. To me, she deserves all the bad things happened in her life and more as a punishment for what she had done to others.
