It was unfortunate that we hired Pathways Concreate to replace Asphalt Driveway with Concrete Driveway for our home, the guy Steve Drew or Tony  gave a quote of $5700 and asked to pay 50% advance of $2850 to get the job done in couple of weeks.

Without suspecting any foul play, I just wrote a check for $2850 , the check was cashed the very next day and I waited for a wekk of so to get an update from the company . I grew little worried and called them to get an status on week 2 , I could not not reach any one of the phone , left several voice messages and no one returned the calls, emailed them several times and no response either.

I then researched about this comapny and found their are several people who either got a bad service or duped from this company. I decided to cancel the work and get my advance amount $2850 returned , I have so far not got my advance amount back I have been calling them daily and emailing them as well , absolutely no response or what so ever .

I feel I got cheated by the company not sure what do do next.

no work but we paid

AUTHOR: captdan - ()

the same thing happened to us.  In May this year we gave $2150 as a deposit for work to be done to Tom Rotts of Pathways Concrete.  Four weeks and no communication.  We began calling, e-mailing and texting.  He did  answer once or twice - there had been alot of rain in the early summer and I did expect delays - but when we tried to get a date scheduled for the work to be done it didn't happen.  Two dates were stated and he was a no-show both times.  We then made contact and asked for the deposit to be returned ( in July).  We have yet to get the money despite him claiming: he would bring it by,  he would meet up with us, and the latest,"It was sent by certified mail." (this was last Thurs, 9-25-2014).

If enough people file complaints with the Attorney General's Office we may be able to file a class-action suit against them for Fraud.

File your complaint, Keep pestering them for the money and don't let up until they pay.
