It was in Mar 5, 2013 that i solicited Payday loan Support to assist me in my payday loan nightmare. I had originally had two loans, but with income tax i paid the largest loan off. I wished i had done the same for this small $500 loan.
PDL stated they would be able to still assist me, so I allowed them to draft the $98 set-up fee as well as monthly pymnts of $105 to see if the interest that I was being charged was valid. Also that if it wasn't valid I wouldn't be responsible for the loan.. Ok no problem...well they preceeded to draft $105 from my acct monthly. Every time I called it was always...oh ma'am we are working on it..give us a few days & we'll contact you.
When my final pymnt was drafted in Jul, I was under the impression I would now be going over to their "sister" comapny for negotiations. Well it is now Nov 12, 2013 & I have yet to talk with Infinity about my case....I have tried to speak to managers on numerous occasion but no one will address my case. They are stating they aren't the sister company & that I don't have to use them....I can do it on my own. Very cold & no willingness to assit me.
I was told they weren't affiliated with PDL, they aren't their "sister" company and that they had no record of my dealings with PDL. Well I am at a lost because the payday loan is still calling with a higher balance & now I feel I should have taken the $500 I invested in PDL & paid the payday loan off myself!! At least I know the debt would be paid..but now I am out money with PDL & the payday loan.
My question is do they have a list of these places...i feel they already know who's legit & who isn't but to an unknowing consumer like myself, they are playing on our ignorance. Also, PDL stated they transfered my case to Infinity back on Jul 30, 2013, so I should have been made arrangements on this debt...but now 4 more months of interest has accrued & nothing has been done in my favor....who's going to pay the accrued interest.....I don't think I was properly educated nor was I fully aware of the ins & outs of this company.
I have vowed to contact BBB in Alabama & alert any consumer that is thinking about using this company!!! Stay AWAY!!! TOTAL SCAM ARTIST!!!!
Very Frustrated Consumer
Valerie

Another company has no right to change the contract between you and the lender

There is no list of scam companies. There are bunches of scam people and companies, but rather than looking for a name to avoid, you look for the method and avoid anyone using the method. Any company or person that says they can change a contract between you and someone else is a scammer. So the whole idea of this company was fraudulent to start.
There is no doubt you have been scammed. You have a contract with a payday loan company where you borrowed $500 and you were to repay that company. Now you have some scammer promising you to "look at" your situation but it is going to cost you $X/month. You could have looked at your very own contract yourself to determine what fees and interest were due. Or, if you don't understand the terms of your contract, bring it to an attorney to review.
For you to pay $X/month to have someone review your contract is crazy! Stop the automatic payment now. Get in touch with the person with whom you signed the contract and straighen out your past due amounts.
I am not a fan of payday loans anyway, but at least repay what you owe to the right person and NOT A THIRD PARTY! No one can change a contract between two people other than the two people that are in the contract!
You need to check on the other loan too. Because if you gave the funds to anyone other than the company that you were supposed to repay, you have a problem.
