Paypal began by charging me for transactions that I did not make that put my account into the negative which put a restriction on the account and said I had to deposit funds to resolve the negative balance before they could remove the limitation. I should have had over 4000.00 in the account. I submitted to them all the erroneous transactions I didnt make and the day after I did that, I got a complaint from a customer who had recieved merchandise over 45 days prior, signed delivery and tracking info provided! It took me daily contact with them for over 60 days to get them to finally give me a "provisional" credit to raise my account above the negative however during that 60 days, the account developed 10 more consumer complaints because the account was limited and I therefore could not refund the customers who hadnt received merchandise yet nor ship them out to them because they had the money to get the items shipped! I pre warned paypal about the customers whose items had not shipped out yet at that point if they did not remove the limitation so that I had the resources to fullfill them! I worked out arrangements with all the customers and they all called me back after trying to close their disputes saying paypal told them they couldnt drop it and neither they nor I got the money, it was just held in paypal limbo, where it still is today! They finally credited me back for half of the transactions that I didnt make while at the same time, they refunded customers who never complained the same amount of money! Those customers called and wanted to know why they were given a refund when they were perfectly happy with the merchandise! They credited customers who didnt want a refund and refuse to credit the ones who are due one! The customers who didnt want a refund sent me their payments again via western union so that I would get what they paid for when I informed them of what was happening! Thank god for that and it is all that has kept me afloat for the last 75 days! I have been unable to do any new business since then and therefore have not been able to make my house payment in that time and I already lost my vehicle due to them! Between the 4000.00 I should have in the account and the -918.00 they are saying the balance is now, and the 2000.00 they refunded to customers that didnt want to be refunded and the 5900.00 they have on "temporary hold" due to buyer "disputes" that arent being disputed according to the customers, I am out not only the last two months of business earning potential, but 7200.00 in what I did earn, have lost a vehicle, and will probably lose my home also and it seems there isnt a d**n thing I can do about it! I have been in business for over 6 years and started using paypal about two years ago and never had an issue until the unauthorized transactions showed up on my account in July and I submitted a claim to them for it! Beware of paypal and be careful to also not remove all your money from them quickly when you do make sales because they also limited my account under a separate limitation for irregular activity on the account and when I asked what I was doing that was so irregular they said it was because I transferred the balance of my paypal account of week old funds to my checking account! All I have worked for over the last six years is going straight down the tubes and they could care less and wont do a thing about it.

All to common for paypal

This is an all too common problem with paypal. This company knows nothing in the realm of customer service. The only advise I can give is to visit paypalsucks and work with other victims to file a class action lawsuit against them. This company has ripped off and victimized over 100,000 people in the last couple of years. They have high ratings on the stock market and thier making major revenue for ebay. The reason why is because they are stealing Millions and Millions of dollars each year from thier members. They actually tried to steal $23,000 fro my account a while back and I filed a lawsuit against them for $150.000 in funds and punitive damages. They released the funds the same day they were served.

They know that most people will feel powerless
They know that most people will do nothing but complain
They know that most people wont file a lawsuit
So they victimize everyone they can knowing that 95% of thier victims wont do anything serious to get thier money back.


My advice is to sign up for a merchant account. I use First Data merchant services. They are great, reliable and very trustworthy and they can link your account to a shopping cart that works on ebay.
