A bit of Pentagroup history for you. Ransom Clark Lummis ,age 44, is chairman of Pentagroup. His wife is Isabel Stude Lummis , age 40. Isabel is related to George R. Brown. Who is George R. Brown you ask? He and his Brother Herman founded Brown and Root construction company, with the financial backing of brother in law Dan Root, which was purchased by Halliburton in the early 1960's for something like $ 5 billion.

The Houston Convention Center is named for him. You possibly saw it on the news after the hurricane hit The Louiana, Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast. They housed all of those thugs from the projects and inner city New Orleans there as well as the nearby Astrodome and it has cost the city of Houston Millions and Millions that will never be repaid but, thats another story.

Ransom and Isabel were married in 1991 and had a reception at the family home on Kirby Drive the River Oaks area of Houston. Isabel is the daughter of Mike and Anita Stude of Houston. Both Ransom and Isabel are very active in the Houston social scene. They have a fondness for art collecting and Isabel currently serves on the board of trustees for " The Menil Collection", a museum consisting of approximately 15,000 sculptures, paintings, and other works of art. Pentagroup Executive Vice President and lawyer, James Joseph Thorpe and his wife Christy live in nearby Richmond ,Texas. All of these areas are suburbs of Houston. Thorpe is a May 1986 graduate of the South Texas College of law in Houston. His bar card number is 19989100 just in case you would like to file a complaint against him with the Texas State Bar Association. Pentagroup will open a new call center in the Buffalo New York area in June of 2006. The address of the new call center is 2875 Union Road, Cheektowga, New York. It will be managed by Daniel Sauer age 45. Daniel and his wife Patricia live in Orchard Park New York as does his father.

Sauer is a native of Buffalo and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from State University College of New York in Buffalo. He was previously employed with Bank America. His wife is Patricia Sauer age 43. In this great nation you can not be jailed for failure to pay a debt.

If I was in your sons shoes I would do the following: File a complaint on James Thorpe with the Texas State Bar Association. Second File a complaint with Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams. Texas law requires debt collectors that operate in Texas to have a $10,000 cash bond on file with his office to cover violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well as Chapter 392 of The Texas Finance Code. The actions you mentioned are clear violations of both.

Next file a complaint with Texas Attorney General Gregg Abott. His offices is in charge of filing suit in cases regarding consumer issues ,such as debt collection, as well as prosecution of violations.
