Pentagroup Financial ripoff,we called & cancelled post-dated check, which they okayed and they still sent it thru our bank, messing up our account Houston Texas

This company called to settle a collection and agreed that if we paid what they offered in 2 installments, they would take it off our credit report. I set up 2 payments, 1 for June 30 and the other for July 30. We were sent deposit notification letter on June 22, stating that if for any reason we do not wish the check to be deposited to contact their office before June 30.

On June 27, we contacted their office to letting them know not to deposit the check because we have more important bills to pay and the funds would not be available and they told us OK. When checking our account on July 5 the check was pending in our account and we tried to call them several times and we were given the run around and the lady that we talked to would not answer our call when taken to her extension. This check went through and it messed up our entire checking account. Something needs to be done about companies that does this to people, especially when they've agreed to do something and they end up doing something else. It not fair to the people that work hard and are taken for granted and lied to.
