I'm not struggling anymore and my son and I are doing just fine. I'm 3 credit hours from obtaining my Master's degree and my career keeps pushing forward.

Although Mr. Houston claimed my son wasn't his, he still never showed up to have a DNA test completed. All I'd like ultimately is for paternity to be established and then he can sign his rights over.

I wasn't intentionally trying to ruin his life, just was angry that he didn't take any responsibility for his actions.

But, for now, I'm focusing on raising my son & my career.

This guy is toxic!  He was an ex boyfriend of mine and is a pedophile.  He has police records in Jackson, Michigan, Chicago and Indiana.  He also is not a safe person to have unprotected "relations" with, if you know what I mean.  I hate to sound so cold but your son is probably better off not being around him because he is a loser to the twentieth degree.  If you are as good a catch as you say, stay focussed on you and your son without being bitter and the right man will come into your son's life and yours.  Be blessed.
