Performance Bicycle Bad fitting, Bad build, will not honor refund on new bike. Santa Monica CA

i original purchased a Marin Nicasio LE 2018 from woodland hills performance bike on 11/13/2018. i was told on 11/28/2018 that the store would not take returns, any returns and i was directed to pasadena, or santa monica. decided and headed to santa monica. at woodland hills i was told if i wanted to return the bike for what ever reason i could, i was not satisfied with my bike, i had a bad fitting, and had mechanical issues, this was my first bike purchase, have not ridden for over 15 years. i do not own a car so i need to take public transportation, total time wasted was 7.5 hours of traveling.

i was helped by a manager, jim at santa monica. only to find out that he would not honor my return. jim looked at my bike for anything he could reject my return and noticed some scratches on the crank arms and said immediately it was used. a bike with less than 15 miles of riding, is now considered used. it hurts my back while riding, and i kept having front derailleur issues, dropping chains, it turns out that dropping the chain scratched the front derailleur. i did notice that the shifting cable was not routed correctly to the front derailleur, the plate should be flat not crooked look at pics. it was built incorrectly.

jim lied to me, in my face several times. he did offer me to exchange the bike, but no refund. but, there were no bikes in sale and i would have to purchase a bike at full price. nothing but bull crap scam. i did not want to travel 30 miles again to deal with performance bike and jim would not refund me. jim also at one time during said he could give me less of a refund, deduct damages from the front crank. only to deny later, and shut me up quickly, and made up his mind and say he wont return used bike. would not give money order, no credit, nothing.

manager jim did not give a crap about me, nor my issues, i am not satisfied with my bike now im screw with a bad fitted bike and mechanically not safe bike.

i dont recommend ANY ONE buy there first bike from PB, they currently having issues, and closing store chains around the country. i knew i should of gone to REI or my LBS, sucks trying to save money. now i have bike to sell.

will NEVER RETURN to Santa Monica PB store EVER! i will not buy anything from there brick and mortar locations or there site ever.
