perfumania.com rip-off false promises Ft. Lauderdale Florida

Perfumania.com sent me an e-mail, which stated:

Orders placed by 3 PM (EST) December 20th are GUARANTEED to be delivered in time for the holidays or we'll pay for your purchase and shipping.

I did place the order before 3 PM Dec. 20th, however when I used the UPS tracking website the next day it stated that my delivery was scheduled for Ground not 2nd Day.

I had ordered over $100 of merchandise, which was all to be used for Christmas gifts but, I did not receive my order until Dec. 27th. This was a great inconvenience and I would not have ordered if I knew this was going to be the out come.

I e-mailed Perfumania on Dec 26 that I did not receive my order for Christmas as promised and expect to receive the proper credit.

This was Perfumania's reply: Unfortunately if an order cannot fit in the UPS shipping box for 2nd day air it will be sent ground. Mostly medium and large orders are sent ground. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

So what they are saying is that I bought too much? Ridiculous!

Nowhere was these exceptions written because I wouldn't have bought as much. The order could have certainly been broken into two shipments, but I guess they don't was to provide customer service to customers that spend a lot.

I still deserve retribution, but there is no point in trying to call the customer service 800 line. It rings then asks you to leave your name, number, reason for calling, etc. at the prompt, but there is no prompt or any way to leave a message because they just start playing music. So much for GUARANTEES!!
