We hired Perma-seal to install interior drain tiles. The promised a sealed system with no smells. They broke two sewer pipes, which they knew were there. This, and the improperly installed tiles, caused our house to be filled with sewer gas. This caused serious health problems: seizures, repeated bloody noses, bloody sores in the mouth, and three days ago a trip to the emergency room. They refused to address the problem. We have spent $40,000 so far in plumbing costs, a gas removal system, hotel expenses because we could not stay in our home, and eating out because we could not eat in our home, and we're not done.

Dr. J had experienced difficulties with his sewer line months before Perma-Seal commenced any work at his home. Perma-Seal did NOT break any sewer lines in the course of doing work at this home, nor are we responsible for any damages arising from that claim. Perma-Seal has fulfilled all of the requirements of our contract and the homeowner is delinquent in his payment for our services.
What most likely happened is this customer had an existing broken sewer line that was emitting gases beneath the floor of his home. Should that have been the case, when the floor was opened to install the interior draintile system any gases beneath the home could have been released into the home.
