Peter Wagner is or was in league with another individual listed on themortgagefigher.com website, working out of California while he works out of Texas. I initially worked with Jacob, an associate. He referred me to Peter for my needs. I told them both I wanted to buy time in order to find a plan of attack to fight my  fraudulent foreclosure and that I was not interested in a loan modification with a fraudulent lender and that there was plenty of proof to support my case.

Well Peter initially iistened. He offered a "skeltion bankruptcy" service. I had to first place cash into his bank account ($800) and he would prepare documents and coach me through the various steps to file and delay, over the course of what he promised was to be 8-9 months. I agreed and paid.

There is so much history here for just a 3 month period. He kept trying to get me to pursue a loan mod even though I had paid him for the BK stall. He sent me a very poor quality loan mod packet. I responded again that I wasn't interested in a lona mod. He said the information for the BK was roughtly the same and to provide it. I did so, but he couldn't find the docs and had me tell him everything over the phone as he filled out the papers... for more than 20 minutes. He then mailed me a stack of papers and said to wait until just before the auction date. I'd also agreed to pay his associate $1500 for legistative services to stall the sale.

He insisted he'd have luck with a loan mod and had a 95 percent chance to obtain a dream arrangement, and wanted me to pay him $700 a month to try. I reminded him that I had already paid his associate $750 and him the balance of $1500 for some form of legislative action against the alleged Servicer, plus the $800 for the skeleton BK. He wanted to try the loan mod anyway and just forget the other services I'd already paid for.

While he was able to move the sale date a few times, he and his assistant kept making bumbling mistakes, sending the loan mod docs to the wrong lender, sending the wrong tax years, repeatedly asking for docs already sent, sending late payment notices for a loan mod program I never agreed to participate in, sending me letters in all caps, once addressed to the wrong person answering questions I never asked, and the list goes on and on.

He failed at the load mod, receiving a denial (as they always do for various made up reasons). And he now denies he offered the skeleton bk option, says I skated on payments (which I again never agreed to make), says I failed to send documents requested, and have been a problem from the start. It's been a frustrating 3 months and a major time suck and I'm out $2900. To top it off, he's using fabricated lies to smear my reputation with other likely sources of help and now refuses to follow through with the services for which I've already paid.

Lessons learned? Don't trust someone who spends so much time buliding themselves up with stories and claims that can't be backed up. He claimed he had nothing but favorable Yelp reviews. Those can't be found. Don't trust someone who only accepts payment by direct deposit to his bank. And do your homework, even if you are desparate to save your home. There are more trustworthy methods out there. And now I'm back to square one.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

review of allegations and claims

AUTHOR: pete - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, November 19, 2014

This is a case of our company reaching out to help a referral/client to stop a foreclosure. we started out with him early this year. We have a signed contract by both parties to do a modification. We received over 41 pages of his personal documents. The only reason to require these documents would be for this modification.

We kept this property out of foreclosure for over 6 months. This is documented in actual correspondence in our flie from

Nationstar Mortgage. The file went to underwriting. At this point, when we asked for past due payments (3) he started making excuses about our original paperwork.  Finally, he told us he could not pay because he could not collect payment from the construction jobs he had been doing. We had no choice but to cancel the file.Oour company has been in business for over 9 years and this is the first and only complaint filed with this company.

We have a booklet full of letters from our clients that are open to review by anyone concerned with doing work with our

firm. We always finish what we start and do what we say we can do.
