I found the car I have been looking for on there lot after multiple sales people told me they could not help me because I was too upside down. I spent 2 days negotiating the DEAL and they told me that not even with a cosigner would I be able to get the car. Before hand they stated that if I had a cosigner I could get almost anything and not to worry.

So disheartened that I would not begetting the car I called my insurance company and they offered to finance the car if we paid the negative equity. This was grate news, I went to the dealer and test drove the car and LOVED it. On side note I recommend the Prius to anyone looking for a very nice and roomy fuel saver. So it was late and my insurance company had already closed so we had to wait till the next day, no problem.

So we go get the check from the insurance company and go over to the dealer they will not accept a draft check so the insurance company bank has to over night the check to the local agent and I have to take it to the dealer. OK no big deal. So we give them our 3k check for the negative equity that they deposited the same afternoon. They will not let us take the car home tho, They stated that it would not be insured unless there was a sales person in the car even tho I had a binder of insurance full coverage already.

The whole process we felt like they did not feel like we were important and they will get around to us when they can. It was almost like they were treating us like a criminal. So the next day I went and got the car and gave them the check and the old car. 30 Minutes later after I got home I noticed a rock chip in the windshield, I send a text to my sales person about it and if they could fill it real quick. He calls and states that he did not see it and since I got such a GOOD DEAL there was nothing they could do. Also the air filter was dirty as well as the cabin air filter was full of leafs.

Then after they told us they were going to have to auction my old car and that was why they could not give me any more because of the mileage they put it up for sale for 5000 more than they gave me. They never asked me if it had been wrecked so I did not tell them that it was rear ended, so Im not sure how they can ask so much for a vehicle like that but beware of this place and always check the Car Fax. We will not be doing business with there sales team again after the way we were treated and I recommend you dont either. There are many other dealers that are happy to have business. Well this was going on we looked for other Priuses in the PKG8 but no other dealer in 100 miles had one like it so we just put up with this to get the car.

Always two sides to a story

I was sad for the folks in this article for the way they were treated and also the way they were percieved to have been treated. I do not know them or the scenario but do know that whenever you are dealing with banks and do not offer an in house finance option there are many hoops to jump through. Also whenever dealing with a draft check the majority are not really a pre approval  but basicly an attempt on the part of the bank or insurance company to try and secure your financing and even the ones that are a legitimate pre approval can take weeks or months to payout and have so many hoops that most cars and structures end up being rejected.  And the saddest part is in the middle of all of this you have a customer who feels unimportant! The part that most customers can't see is how picky the lenders are in this economy and how hard and at times impossible it is to do our job these days with negative equity or marginal credit. like I said I do not know the people or scenario and maybe the situation could have been handled differently? Maybe? If they had been my customer I would have just paid for the chip out of my pocket!
