This story should sound familar. I saw listing for a rebuilt transmission for my 02 Jaguar on Ebay for $1900. I called PRT and spoke to Dwayne he said indeed this transmission was in stock and I should recieve it within a weeks time. After 2 weeks I called Dwayne and he informed me that they were in the process of building my transmission. I called and tried to cancel my order and I was told it was already on its way. After a month and a half I recieved my tranny. Finally my tranny is put into my car and then the machanic informs me that there was no reverse. I called and spoke to Gabe and he said my machanic much had done something wrong during the installation. He told me to have my machanic take it back out and send the tranny back to them to inspect. My machanic laughed and said he wasnt doing anything unless he was paid for the services rendered. Good news though I bought a warranty,,WRONG, the warranty was very subjective and only covered $35 per hour which most machanics charge $60+. I really just wanted my car finished so I paid for him to take it out and fix, which ended up being a pin that PRT never had in. Well at least I have my car back,,NOT SO FAST, now my transmission light is back on. Of course I cant forget the icing on the cake,, THEY WONT GIVE ME MY $1000 CORE CHARGE BACK!!!!! I have called over and over and I have never got 1 single call back EVER. This has been a nightmare and these people need to pay. I bought a tranny from them to save some money because to have someone rebuild the tranny would've cost $3000 so I thought $1900 for tranny & $600 for installation I would be ahead $500 go thiat route but $4200 later here I am. Im a business man and I know people of this caliber will not last and are bound to lose everything they have. All they had to do was be honest and they had a great concept but scumbags like this will go down in flames.
