Photopoint ripoff, explanation from employees

All this griping about Photopoint misses the point..no pun intended. This was a dotcom start up to which a lot of young really talented programmers gave their time and talent, only to lose their jobs when the advertising revenues were not forthcoming. This was, and in fact is (the photographs and albums have been archived, I understand from company information)...and when they asked to be supported by users, those user balked.

A sufficient fee needs to be charged to cover the services, and only if this happens can the service continue. Again, it is simply a terric site and service, and as people who are complaining that irreplacable photos are possibly gone...it proves users are relying on it to store their memories, not just images.

Not a ripoff, a well intentioned effort to face up to the market.
