Pinnacle Studio 10 Refusal to Honor Rebate - Their own UPC code considered invalid! White Bear Lake, Minnesota

I'm a long time customer of Pinnacle's Studio video editor. Instead of buying upgrades, I typically buy their retail version when there's a sale or rebate offered. The most recent version offered a $30 rebate for the Ultimate version. One of the requirements is to cut the UPC symbol from the box and submit it with the rebate form. Knowing they can get lost, I routinely tape the UPC code to the rebate form. A couple weeks later I was informed that the UPC code was invalid! They never denied receiving the UPC code. I contacted Pinnacle and was again told it was an invalid code. I have the "store bought" box, with a cutout where the UPC code used to be. I can't help that their system considers it "invalid". I suppose I'm just another of many very frustrated rebate users.
