Pioneer UE22 Error VSX-1021-K long beach California

After my VSX-D903 that was purchased in 1994 for $1000 finally started having problems after 18 years of faithful service and being used pretty much daily. In 2012 I finally upgraded to the VSX-1021-K from my local Costco. I have been mostly satisfied with it's functionality overall with the exception of using the android remote control app. Connecting to it over the network for internet radio and remote control had been a pain from day one. Static IP address is set but I always had issues connecting and would often need to unplug and replug the power to get it to "wake up" so that I could utilize the network feature. Now in 2016 I am getting the dreaded UE22 error code. I have many pieces of Pioneer equipment including a laserdisc player 100 disk CD changer and even a dual cassette player all Pioneer. I am so disappointed in the build quality of many electronics these days. Not just the Pioneer brand but many others across the board. Is there any company out there that makes anything that lasts anymore?
