PJ's College of Cosmetology PJ's School of Cosmetology Refuses to provide Transcripts Clarksville IN

I called to get copy of my transcripts and certificate of completion from the school by request of current employer. When I contacted them they told me to fill out a request for transcripts along with a $10 money order and send in by mail. I waited 3 weeks with no reply, so I contacted them by phone to ask if they recieved the request and why is it been so long.

The lady I spoke with did not know why it hadnt been done and she would send my information over to state board of cosmetology asap. I then called back a few hours later to find out why they still had not sent over the info to state board and they told me because I owed them $850 in fee's for overage hours. I completed the program in 2005 and I recieved all of my information to take my boards from them at that time. It was never mentioned to me about a balance owed on my account, nor was it ever turned over to collections.

This was the first time hearing about money owed in 13yrs. I asked why this was the first time hearing about this and why would they give me the transcripts when I completed the program if I owed them money. They could not tell me why I never heard of this until now. I dont understand how they can still legally collect on this aleadged balance when the statue of limitations are over the time to collect. I dont beleive I owe this money at all and it is causeing me a great deal of hardships to not be able to recieve my information. This is effecting my work and I dont have that type of money without being able to return back to work.
