ripoff that says $200 total fees for $8000 credit line, then you get popped for over $400 total in the first year according to terms not divulged until you press the submit button. There was a Non-refundable submission fee listed in the term, but after sending them an email to get them to respond with a phone number to call, I then called them immediately and was told no problem, that I would not be billed for anything. Then it began Ten days later that they charged my check card for the total initial fee of $149.95, and I called my bank to have them begin proceedings to dispute the charge. The money is not there to cover it and I am on a fixed income and even though I could have transferred from my savings to cover it, I refuse to do so. They will not get ine red cent out of me. These people should be forced out of business for these kinds of practices. By contrast, I applied for a credit card with First Premier Bank and was granted a credit line of $300 for a total of about $160 that would be carried on the account, NO MONEY UP FRONT, just a checking account was needed to confirm financial status with no credit checks, which is exactly what I needed to begin re-establishing me credit after filing for chapter 7 recently. I even called them to ask about their credit account protection plan, which by the way would pay off all balances incurred during a time of emrgency illness and loss of work, and I found out that they grant credit increase whenever requested for a fee of $25, which would bring my credit line up to $400 or $500, and they have a straight across the board policy of $20/month payments. It's not much in the way of credit, but the payments I can handle. By the way, This whole thing began when I googled even with bad credit, which brought up a page with various offers all with similar terms, not much up front, but press submit, and all of a sudden your being charged over $400 over the following month, not year, bu in the first month! Stay away from these ripoffs! Oh, and this card can only be used for a portion of a purchase at usaplatinumnewaccounts@usacdt.com>

#3 Consumer Suggestion

read the terms and conditions before hitting submit

AUTHOR: Gary - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 10, 2006

I have heard from consumers whinning that psba and colonial alliance has taken money from clients and the terms and conditions are not clear. I researched the contract and found your allegations are just down right false.

Listed right on the top page the terms and conditions are listed. Read them. Here they are and they are as clear as the nose on your face

1:access to 8 thousand interest free credit to purchase plasma tvs and high end electronics.
2. guaranteed store value visa card. (this is a debit visa card and it says so. it does not say a credit card for 8 thousand that can be used anywhere.)
3.Members automatically qualify for an OPPORTUNITY to receive A platinum visa with a 10.000 credit line (opportunity does not say guarantee).
4.Then it says you authorize the debit for the platinum membership which includes a 149.95 enrollment and a 69.95 submission fee is non refundable.
5.It says that if you cancel beyond 3 business days from sign up it is non refundable.
6.iT Also says that a membership of 19.95 per month is billed anually in advance in the total of 235.40.
7.It gives both an email address and a business address where you can cancel.

PEOPLE STOP CALLING THE COMPANY SCREAMING AND CUSSING> If you did not read the legal contract before putting in all information on 6 screens and then hitting I submit and agree buttons the fault is no one other than YOURS.

If you did not understand what the contract was about then for God sakes do not give the company your bank account and routing number so they can automatically debit your account. (it also says they will do this and it can not be stopped once the submit button is hit.
