PNC Bank PNC NSF CHARGES NEW Newark Delaware

Well,
It all started 9.26.08 When all of a sudden I got 3 NSF charges even though my on line said I was good. I called 1800pnc they said " the new policy is if you go negative at all any time you will get NSF charges.. EX if I get gas on Thursday and my check is direct deposited Thursday 11:30 even though it did not post till Monday when it post it will show at the time I got gas had it posted it would be negative. I have never had this problem.. So today I got 4 more same thing my wife called this morning and they said you are ok positive 30 .. 4 hours I'm negative 50.. why? items from earlier that day pending prior to me transferring money.. they back posted the transaction EX
So now even after they told me if it's pending and I transfer before it post I'm ok. They said just if POST with a negative I'm done.. but now even if it's pending in the red I'm screwed..

So even though my deposit posted before the charges did they still charged me NSF charges.

WTF???
P.S.
My on line banking NEVER showed me as having a negative balance.
