This company delivered a box to my location, charged me a month of storage while they delayed picking up the box for weeks, they assured me over the phone, they were only charging for each segment at a time. This is allegedly on phone recording, but who knows.
They later sent an email saying my move had been cancelled, unbeknownst to me, and my goods were in storage at their Houston location. This is relevant because the moving days were critical to avoid the company charging another month of storage. By cancelling the move they assured at the very least one more month of storage, maybe more, as they have 100% control of when your goods are moved.
I called them to inquire about the email the very next day, but after a hold of 45 minutes waiting for an agent, the call was hung up. The next day I was able to talk to an agent that said I never agreed to the contract. I asked why they did not bother to call me before cancelling the move and the agent said they had sent me an email.
You can imagine my surprise when I saw a charge for $2638.76 on my credit card, a charge that was not authorized, and for a service they had not performed.
I called them again, and an extremely rude agent, with no regard whatsoever for customer service, said that I had agreed verbally to be charged, but was unable to explain why the verbal agreement was not valid to transport my goods to Florida, and failed to see the obvious contradiction that they claimed to be authorized to charge me from a verbal conversation, but needed to be a written contract to make the move.
I asked if our call was being recorded, and she said yes, that she had told me so, -and this was not true-. I thought that if we go to litigation I can subpoena thier recordings to show the agent's admissions.
I explained to her I wanted this nightmare to end, and this very night I'd sign the online contract and then she said, after explaining that if I signed before the 25th my goods would be delivered to Florida on the 2nd of OCtober, that I could not schedule my move. I explained I had agreed to do as she said I had to do for an October 2nd delivery, and she went on that she had to schedule it. Then she just hung up on me.
They have my stuff, and they charged me for a move they did not do. I am under coercion to sign the online contract to get my goods, thye will continue to charge for storage. This is horrible Company. If I can save another person some grief, please, please, please, read all the horror stories, including my own and avoid this Company like you would a horrible cancer.
