Beware of EQM or Polaris marketing. It is a commission only employer that will work you to the bone with little to no financial benefit for yourself. You will be doing all of the legwork for a few people in management. These people will hire ANYONE who is interested regardless of experience or qualifications. It is a classic pyramid scheme (though when explaining it, they will turn it upside down to try and convince you how great it is) Everyone speaks very highly of the company. There are no complaints whatsoever. You are expected to be part of the "team" and participate in "team nights" after an already exhausting 12 hours of work. There are mandatory meetings for several hours every morning as well as upon return from your grueling day of door to door sales throughout NYC. Then you will be taken to a terrible bar to discuss your potential and prospects for management within the company. You will be taken on a business trip (doing door to door sales somewhere else in the country) where everyone will share a room (ie sleep on the floor) It's basically a cult. They will try to brainwash you. I don't understand how you could aspire to participate in such a soulless practice. For those of you who wish to "try it out", you will not see your first paycheck for about a month and you will be furious when you see how much is on it. You're better off begging for change in the street or working at your corner Duane Reade. DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME.

Interesting Point!

You brought up a great point that i made a mental note of but didn't include in my 20+ paragraph review (pending).
Which was, I wondered, and even asked "Why do you guys have to keep repeating the same phrases at every meeting" I got some b.s. answer about learning to speak in front of a crowd.
And that's when I said to myself "The only people who chant/say same phrases in unison all the time are either cults or most religions (ie, BIGGER cults). And what do I know about chanting and cults? The chant is their to brainwash you!! To free yourself of individual thought!
Ex:
Person 1 : what do you love specifically about Jesus?
Chanter: God is my savior.
Person 1: No what specific things.
Chanter: God is my savior.
The chant never allows the person to question the validity of their beliefs and practices. Because one that happens, oh boy, the floodgates can open!
I LIKE having freedom of thought and not gullible enough to be brainwashed into thinking these 'pat phrases' are to help me speak! If only others weren't. . .
