these clowns were trying to charge me over 11.00 $ a piece  for regular ngk spark plugs.nice try.they say they have the tires in stock when you call,then you get there and pull out the c card and all of a sudden whoops,we dont have those tires.another nice try.it took them 18 days to put on a sprocket cover,yes 18 days.it is a 65$ part,that is held on with 4 bolts,thats it.oh we have to order that part it will take a while.there were over 100 new sprocket covers on e-bay with fast shipping.bought a shift sock there and it fell apart in 2hrs of riding.45$ for a headlight bulb,the blue tip just fell off in less than 3 days.went to advanced auto got one for 12.00$ has lasted 1 year.why 3-4 different names for the same store?2 new tires cost less than the labor,and hidden service fees,to put them on.they sell junk at very high prices.everyone who rides deserves to have great tires on their bike,just for safety,the prices they charge for labor and tires is why so many people are riding on unsafe tire.profits before safety.most riders cant afford new tires and all the scam labor charges.lucky i found a real mechanic that charges me less than half on everything,because iam a great customer.at pony powersports iam just a credit card.they charged me over 500.00$ for the sprocket cover and a new front tire.the tire wore out in 6 months on the right side.do not buy from there.you can find everything online at half the price,and it wont be outdated overpriced dusty parts.500$ and they did not even attempt to tighten by chain.just sad.no one seems to be in charge.look at the service board and rates for bikes,then look at the labor charges,you will run out of the store,yelling THIEF,THIEF..if your in the market for a hart and huntington sweatshirt,what was that 8 years ago.then this antique store is for you.bring your wallet and a second mortgage you will need it.as for me ,never again.trust me you will have buyers remorse before you leave the parking lot.oh yea,the speedbumps in the parking lot will rip the underside of your bike apart.they werent smart enough to put in real speedbumps.just huge and high ones that tear your bikes bottom up.its o.k. though just pull it around to our service bay,it should only take 18 days or so.sorry it will take longer than 18 days we need to order a left handed monkey wrench,we dont have one in our downstairs attic.

We have spent considerable effort to research the claims of the person who wrote this report, however we cannot verify he or she actually came to Iron Pony, nor can we say they did not. To be fair to the person who submitted this report, Iron Pony Motorsports Group would like to respond to each of these concerns individually.

- It's true some motorcycle-specific spark plugs cost more than the generic types (they may fit, but are not approved by the manufacturer). Our staff will only supply the recommended fit plug when a customer offers us a make/model

- Iron Pony carries more tires in our (open to the public) tire warehouse than just about any retail outlet in the United States. Not only that, but we stock some tires that no retail outlet will keep on hand. And we will install tires purchased here "while you wait" 7 days a week.

- Iron Pony service fees are comparable with, and often lower than any reputable certified repair facility. This includes tire dismounting, mounting and balancing services. We don't try to compete with uncertified or backyard mechanics, and you are always welcome to have your tires installed anywhere you wish, or even do it yourself. The convenience of "while you wait" tire mounting available 7-days per week is worth the service fee to most riders.

- We stand behind our work and can't think of a single "normal" way a customer might be able to wear out only the "right side" of a motorcycle tire. Our guarantee, however, would have us welcome a customer back with such an unusual, and frankly unlikely issue. If it was the fault of our service people or a defect in the product, we would always take care of it.

- Iron Pony Motorsports Group started out as a value retailer right here in Columbus. As we grew and added to the business, we did our best to "maintain the brand" but also recognize the many facets available to our customers. Each "brand" represents different unique services. - The traffic-calming bumps in the parking lot are for the safety of all our customers. They have conveniently located pass-throughs for riders whose motorcycles don't have much ground clearance and the majority of our customers use them.

- Our service department is well-stocked, and has no "downstairs attic". Our technicians are trained and certified motorcycle mechanics. They do their best to have tools on hand to repair just about anything, but special tools for special fitments can take time to get. We don't charge for storage in addition to service (normally) and so there is no advantage for us to keep a customer's motorcycle any longer than necessary. In fact, we'd prefer to get the service done as soon as possible to keep our customers happy so they keep coming back. If you experience a delay in servicing your motorcycle, it is certainly not because we are keeping your bike from you without reason.

Unfortunately, the person who left this report didn't also leave a name, so we are unable to verify any of his issues. We can't contact him or her in order to see where we might be able to improve our service, either. We invite all riders to come see what Iron Pony Motorsports and Pony Powersports Group is really all about. We are confident they will see why Iron Pony Motorsports was voted Dealernews Dealer of the Year.
