We paid $25,000.00 to have a fiberglass pool professionally installed by Pools of Carolina. Were very satisfied with the service that was rendered in the beginning. Pool was installed in May 2002 as promised. In July of 2003 our pool collapsed and is UNUSABLE.

My husband and I have BEGGED for help to have this pool repaired and Jim Petty has told us time and time again that they would make it good. I have recorded message Jim has left on my answering machine stating that repair men would be here on certain days. No one has EVER come to fix the pool.

Hamp (which is said to be the owner)has spoken to my husband with much disrespect and has lied to us many times. All we want is our $25,000.00 pool repaired so that our 3 kids can enjoy it. They have only been able to swim for one summer due to the sorry service of Pools of Carolina located in Florence, SC.

Do Not Allow This Company To Install Your Pool!!!!!!!!!

Pools of Carolina's Rebuttal to the Moore's False Accusations

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 25, 2006

In response to Mr. and Mrs. Moore's false claims, we at Pools of Carolina would like to let the public know that we offered to correct the problem with the pool that they had created.

After our crew had completely finished properly installing a pool for the Moore's - with correct elevations that drained water away from the pool and home - they came back and created a bowl-shaped berm all the way around the pool, and then landscaped it with plants. The Moores did this despite the consequences stated in the warranty. This berm and raised landscaping prevented water from draining away from the pool especially when it rained and created the hydrostatic pressure that really caused the damage to the Moore's pool.

Still, because of our reputation, Pools of Carolina offered to restore the damage the Moore's had created for $350.00, which was the cost of the cement.

Mr. Moore then retained a lawyer. Pools of Carolina wrote this lawyer and informed him of the situation previously stated above. Since then, Pools of Carolina has not heard from the attorney or from Mr. Moore. The house has since then gone into foreclosure and been sold.
Pools of Carolina has currently installed over 400 pools in the Pee Dee area.

Our crew works hard to provide our customers with a correctly installed, beautiful pool, with a lifetime structural warranty that is 90% maintenance free. Pools of Carolina's mission is to make our customers happy and be of service to them when needed. We want everyone to be satisfied and able to enjoy our pools, spas, and/or any other product purchased from our business.

NO ACTION FROM POOLS OF CAROLINA

AUTHOR: Kenn - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 20, 2004

It has been more than two months since Jim Petty with Pools of Carolina has made a promise to fix our pool in Marion. Since that date I have spoken with him several times on the phone and he has promised time after time that he and Hamp would be here to look at the pool to see what it would take to fix it. He also stated that the pool would be repaired no later than Christmas of 2004. They have not even made an attempt to come to my property and it is now December 20,2004. This problem has been going on since July of 2003. The pool was 13 months old when it collapsed and they refused to fix it and were so disrespectful in the way he spoke to my husband. Hamp stated that it was due to our neglect that the pool collapsed. We have discovered that a pipe bursted underground which caused the water to flood on the outside of the pool and cave the wall in. How would our neglect cause this? Our pool has had daily maintenance since installation until this happened.

We paid $25,000 for our pool and our children have used it only four months of the two and one half years that we have had the pool.
Our property is now listed for sale as we will be re-locating and Pools of Carolina is getting the advertisement that they deserve. Everyone that views the home wants to know what company installed our pool and question why they had not stood behind it. I had written s statement similiar to this but updated since they said they wanted to fix it. I will not update this report again until my pool is repaired. Kenn Moore

spoke with Jim Petty, manager of Pools of Carolina

AUTHOR: Kenn - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 16, 2004

Have spoken with Jim Petty, manager of Pools of Carolina. He states they do want to fix our pool this winter (by Christmas of 2004 or the first two weeks of January 2005. We (Chip & Kenn Moore) have agreed to pay for the cement/cool decking to be replaced (estimated to be between $300.00 & $400.000. The fence has been removed for access and the cement on one side of the pool has been removed. We are ready to let them start with the repairs. Once the repairs are made I will update this report again with the results. 10/16/04
