poplar bluff municipal utilities I have three homes in poplar buff mo. and all my utilities have went up from $60 two $277 in one house to $500 in another I bought new stove, washer, dryer,tankless water heater, and the bills just go rip off poplar bluff, Missouri

I live on relief street And do not work for municipal utilities This is why I say u caused your own demise.

An electric tankless water heater uses 3 220 breakers usually 40 amps or 50 amps each. Amps x volts = watts. An example. A 100 watt light bulb takes 10 hours to use 1 kw. So for example if your tankless water heater takes 150 amps x 220 volts that's 33000 watts or 33 kw/hr. If you take just showers in the house not including dishes or washing clothes or anything for 30 days at 1 shower a day for 30 mins that's almost 60 bucks for hot water. But add in the clothes and dishes and cooking you will cost yourself alone over 100 bucks in water heating. Then add the dryer and washer and stove. Your talking 300 bucks for that. You are NOT saving anything by using a tankless water heater. And you probably didn't turn breakers off the whole billing cycle since they are odd in the way they fall. For my bill here I get the billing cycle of 8/30 to 9/29 and I get bill on 10/24. So meters are read about 3 weeks before bill gets printed. Then you have to receive it in mail so it's about a month behind. So when u switched to tankless hot water and new washer and dryer and stove. That's what killed your bills. Not the electric company.

Use a gas water heater and youll see a big drop in your bill. And examples also. Most dryers use 30.00 to 40.00 a month and stoves are equal to that also. So 120.00 + 80.00 is 200.00 for just clean clothes and hot water. Then you still have tv and lights and a/c etc. Municipal utilities loves people that do what u did and switch to tankless cause lot of people don't realize how much electric they actually use. I'm not a fool and won't switch from my conventional gas waret heater.

And I would switch back to regular hot water heater if I were u and didn't want to keep paying that kind of bill all the time.

My bill on 5 years hasn't been over 70.00 cause I am kw concious and watch what I use and know what I am using. I read my own meters and verify how much I use daily.
