So this all started last week on friday feb, 2nd 2018...... was driving my 2005 silverado SS (that i purchased may of last year) home from work. Loud clunk under the truck, gray smoke pull over to the side of the highway and see its leaking profusely from the rear of the transmission.

Tow it over to a mechanic i've used for many years ... upon inspection the transfercase destroyed...transmission destroyed...drive shaft damaged..

adjuster comes out to inspect the vehicle.... and they're willing to cover the transfer case but BECAUSE THE TRANSFER CASE BREAKING, BROKE THE TRANSMISSION... the transmission isn't covered... so now me and my wife are staring down the barrel of a 3,200-3,500$ bill... because the transmission breaking "wasnt caused by internal lubrication and or failure" on the part of the transmission.... and i have absolutely no idea how to combat this
