I too have received the check for $4890.00 and the letter stating that I'm a shoppers sweepstakes winner. I was pretty sure that it was a scam so I did an internet search and found this site. I've always heard that you will never have to pay upfront to receive a legitimate sweepstakes prize.

Premier Securities Inc./ premier Financial Securities Inc./ barbara Jones, paul Thomas Aka Promotion Managerpremier Securities Inc./ I recieved a letter and check for 4890.00 dollars and was ask to call my claim agent before cashing the check. she told me to deposit the check, then phone her back so she could tell me how to pay the goverment taxes on my big winnings. the taxes was 2985.00 to be paid by moneygram. i tried calling company on check, but it didn't exsist.
