Premier Fitness is a RIPOFF ! Charged for 3 yr membership without knowledge or consent after visiting location fairborn Ohio

Visited the Fairborn location to check it out as we were going to be moving nearby in a month or so.  Was given a tour of facility and owner asked if i was ready to sign up... just needed an id and credit card.... told him i wasn't planning on that the day i visited, had no credit card or id that day, just looking and he said that was ok, and handed me a form that he told me to just fill out my name and address and sign, he could go ahead and give me passes so we could start visiting the gym or visit locations closer to our home at the time.  Said he would just need my i and payment information when we got moved in early august.... Gave me passes, and no paperwork of any kind.  i returned to the facility in good faith a few weeks later to provide my information, and was not given any paperwork of any kind in return still.

Our living circumstances changed over the course of the next several weeks, and i returned to Premier to cancel the membership with never having used any facilities, and was at that time informed of a 30 day notice of cancellation.  I agreed to pay for September, and subsequently gave him notice of cancellation so i would not be charged for october. 

I happened to check my account the second weekend of October and realized that Premier had charged my account  fraudulently for the cancelled membership.  I immediately called, and after several attempts to reach the proper individual as no one called me back, i was told by owner he would take care of it, and offered to give me cash refund as this deduction was a serious strain to my budget. Stated he would bring it to my workplace... never happened, never called me.  I called Premier again and was told he was sooooo busy....  Said he would have it with him another day. 

Went to Premier 2 days later to get my money, and was informed that he left it at home that day.  Was told again he would bring it  to my workplace... never happened, no contact.

Called Premier AGAIN 2 days later to say i was coming to get and was told he didn't have it with him, but would leave it in an envelope at the location the following Monday for me to pick up at my convenience.  My convenience was my day off Wednesday afternoon, and upon arriving, the female clerks were perplexed and knew nothing of the money.  They called owner who claimed to have left it laying around for 3 days for me and was concerned about it just laying around and that's why it wasn't there.  Said to leave him a note on his desk to remind him and he would bring it to my work the next day.  Never showed up and did not call. 

AGAIN, I contacted the owner the day following the no show, told him i was coming that night to pick up my money, and he put me off again, saying he wouldn't be there at that time and i told him, no problem, I'll come later- when are you available? Said he would call me back and let me know.  Didn't call me so I called AGAIN to pinpoint a time and was told he would be back later that evening and he would call me when he knew an exact time.  Several hours later, no call, so i called him again, and he did not answer... left voice message inquiring as to an estimate of time to come get my money, and never heard back, ever.  

Completely fed up and so called my bank to dispute charge and thought the matter done, when ireceived a call from NATIONAL FITNESS regarding an alleged letter they had sent me- which i have never received...

I call the 800 number they provided to see what the message pertained to, and upon asking the person who answered my question as to "who the heck are you and what letter are you talking about?"  was informed of the connection to Premier Fitness, and was informed that i was supposedly on the hook for a 3 year contract committment and owed them money or a buyout amount of several hundred dollars.....There was NEVER ever ever ever any mention of a 3 year committment at any time by premier- ever ! 

I returned to Premier fitness to get a copy of the document i filled out the first visit and was told it was not on premises, but could be available allegedly in a few days. Owner did have the cash he had promised me over a month ago on the counter - ( surprisingly unsecured and just laying around-something that was such a problem just a week ago when i came to get it before)... and tried to give me, but i informed him that my bank had refunded it to my account due to the inablility to coordinate getting it, to which he responded repeatedly  'it's been here, it's been here laying around, it's been here"... as if it was MY fault i did not have it.

I have experienced nothing but the runaround and lies and hassles since dealing with this company. they have fraudently assigned a 3 year contract to me and I will not pay for something that was NEVER mentioned, discussed or presented in any way shape or form.
