Premier Savings Group Tried to rip me off Montreal, Quebec Canada Montreal

Yesterday I received a phone call Saying that my VISA Credit Card request have been approved. She asked if I was in deed Mr. XXXX XXXX and that this is my work phone #. She identified herself as calling from Premier Savings Group. I asked to repeat the name three times while ai was writing the name down. I informed her that I have not applied for a VISA credit card. She verified that I was Mr. XXXX XXXX again. When I asked for her phone number she hanged on me.

Today I recieved another credit card application approved, but from Platinum Benefit Master Card. I explained to the lady that I received same type of phone call but for a VISA credit card. She proceded to veryfied my name and address. She explained that they get our names from other credit applications, etc. She transfer me to another person. While waiting an automatic hold on status comes on plus a voice saying that to stay on the line that this phone call is very important. A male voice talks to me and explain he's from Platinum Benefits Master Card department. That I have been approved automaticly for a Master Card credit card. When I told him twice that I did not applied to or want another credit card he hanged on me.

This situation sounds like the ripoff report I read about asking you to transfer $299.00 from your banking account to open another account to be able to received the credit card. On both ocations when I was insisted that I didn't/want to applied to another credit card they immediately hang up the phone.
