Actual complaint filed with the BBB: Companies like this need to be stopped. They prey on honest people with there dishonest scheme.

On 8/21/08 I was solicited by Pat Sands at Preowned Automall. com(POAM).Sands told me that his service at POAM guaranteed to have my truck sold at $37K($500>asking price)w/in 2 mo tops or my money back.He said that he already had buyers for it and that they could guarantee such a service because they guaranteed credit to buyers with bad credit. Sands told me that they would aggressively market my truck by listing it on Ebay and other ads.

On 8/21/08 I gave POAM $500 for this guaranteed service.2 wks after purchase I made several attempts to contact POAM because they had not listed my truck anywhere. Finally on 9/2/08 Justin Lewis(POAM)emailed me back and said that he would look into it.

After 2 months I asked POAM why they had not sold my truck yet and they told me that they could not get a buyer with approved financing. Part of there guaranteed service was to approve buyers with bad credit which they obviously do not do per POAM's email. I specifically questioned POAM's financing abilities on 10/15 due to the banking crisis. That was POAM's #1 sales pitch.

POAM did not aggressively market the truck because the only place that I could find the ad was on there website. Since buying this service from POAM I have never been able to get a hold of them to change the price or anything else without having to send several emails and phone calls over long periods of time.E very time you call there 800# it always goes to vmail.

On 10/15 and 10/20 I contacted POAM via email and phone because I found a buyer myself and I asked them what they needed to do to get a loan from POAM. POAM never responded back until 10/22(7 days later), well after my buyer walked away. I asked them to lower the price for me on 10/29 and they never even did that until I sent POAM a complaint about there service on 11/6(8 days later)asking for my money back. There $500 service is a rip off. POAM never offered to make it right with me in anyway.I have all the email correspondence to prove my case against POAM.

Per Diana Hickle (BBB representative) the BBB closed this matter as "unresolved" because the BBB has determined that the company's response does not adequately address all the issues and did not make a good faith effort to resolve the dispute. I'll more than likely take this matter to the WV Attorney General's office.
