I found a 2010 Toyota Tundra Limited Edition at a great price. After e-mailing them from kijiji.ca , I received a response stating:

"Thank you for contacting Preston Auto Expert ,

This vehicle is still for sale. It is located in Plano, TX,USA, at our dealership.

We are a truck dealership and got this unit recently from a Canadian client that traded it for a new class 8 truck. It has Canadian registration and we will sell it certified and e-tested. Shipping to Canada is included in the listed price.

It's a 1 owner unit , it's spotless. No accidents or engine problems. Clean title. We offer 1 year written warranty for the engine and transmission.

The response seemed fairly legit.  However, #1, was the free shipping.  Thats a sign of a scam.  #2, the listing was removed. So I called him and talked to "Bobby" . He stated the listing was removed because there was tons of interest. Didn't make sense but OK.  After asking how to make a deposit, he claims western union or money gram.  That is flag #3.

So I checked www.prestonautosexpert.com and www.prestonautoexpert.com on GoDaddy and it shows they were both registered on Jan 31, 2013.

Emailed him and asked how long he has been in business for, he said 1996.  Then asked how long website has been up for, he said 1999.   I explained to him my findings about the website domain just being registered 3 weeks ago and he stopped responding.

If any of you receive an e-mail from Preston Auto Expert or prestonautosexpert.com or prestonautoexpert.com , do not follow through with the deal / deposit.

It is clearly a scam!

I Am Lost Here

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

You say to NOT buy from these people because they are liars, right? What you were about to do is buy a used car you've never seen, never test driven, never heard the engine, never checked each feature or accessory and never checked the paint, fit and finish. Avoid this dealer? How about using COMMON SENSE when buying a used car instead of sending off your money to somebody you don't know to buy some used car you've never seen.
