On June 21st 2005, I contacted Priceline Mortgage to refinance my mortgage. I spoke with a Loan Officer, B.H. He provided me over the phone, the terms of the loan and all fees involved. He also mentioned that I have to pay up front a non-refundable fee of $395.00 (application fee), which will be credited at the time of closing. Since I agreed to the disclosed terms and fees, I released to Mr. B.H. all my personal information including my credit card account to charge this fee; ignoring that later on I was going to be victim of fraud.

On June 27th I received a DHL package from Priceline Mortgage. The package contained all documents to start the refinancing process. I was extremely surprised and disappointed when I reviewed the Good Faith Estimate.

This document lists lenders fees that were not disclosed when I originally discussed the terms and conditions of my refinancing with Mr. B.H.. He never advised, neither disclosed all the lenders fees listed on the Good Faith Estimate. These fees were much higher than the original ones disclosed. This is an evident case of fraud. Immediately, I called Priceline Mortgage to request the cancellation of my refinancing as well as the reverse charge of $395.00.

I also contacted Mr. B.H. Supervisor, Mr A.V. (AVP-Sales). He refused to reverse the charge imposed to my credit card. He reaffirmed that the loan officer disclosed all the fees up front. This statement is totally false. Mr. A.V. was not present at the time, neither had any participation in this conversation.

According to Priceline Mortgage I was offered the guaranteed lender fees, which I never requested neither agreed. They deliberated changed the fees on the Good Faith Estimate and charged me a fee upfront. I called to their attention that I would have never considered to release my credit card information if I knew that I was going to be ripped off. On the other hand, I stated that it is illegal to charge a fee if a service it is not render. In this case, I have been forced to cancel the transaction due to the unprofessional behavior and will not accept any charge under any circumstance.

I also attempted to request the name of the President at Priceline Mortgage to report this incident. Unfortunately, I did not have any success. Mr. A.V. (AVP of Sales) refused to provide me this information. I remarked that if Priceline Mortage proceeded honestly there is nothing to be afraid of or hide.

Finally, I would like to inform you all that I did some research about Priceline Mortgage Company. Surprisingly, I found other victims to the deceptive, fraudulent business practices.

sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome! AUTHOR: Alex - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 15, 2006

Customer was well informed of the options up front - verbally AND in writting. The options were to have "Guaranteed Closing Costs" where everything is included in one lump sum or pay $700 in lender fees plus any other 3rd party fees. Customer chose to go with guaranteed fees and even elected to pay points to get a reduced rate. One week later customer changed her mind about moving forward because she felt that she was "misled" by guaranteed fees. She immediately was given an option to go with a "Non-Guaraneed" option that was available up front without any changes but she declined. Terms of the loan remained the same. Priceline Mortgage locked the rate and ordered services for customer's loan.

Out of customer service customer's deposit was refunded even though Priceline Mortgage incurred expenses on this transaction.
