Last night recieved an email from my bank warning me my account was below its limit. Its a feature you set that warns you if your money goes below a certain dollar amount. Went online to check and saw a purchase from priceline.com. This company was sued back in the late 80's for a supermarket scam they ran to name your own groceries prices, had collected funds for services then closed services keeping membership fees. I had thought this place non existant till last night when my banking statement online showed their phone number and charge.
After talking with my bank had found out card number was compromised and they had stopped it. I tried talking with priceline which I recorded the conversation with a nice droid feature called Tape-a-Talk with them stating wether the card number was stolen or not that their policy is no refunds. My bank is waiting for this to post to reverse it as I played the message back. Also, after talking with them found out they dont even have correct card holder info but still managed to use number. Anyway, if this happens to you, dont wait, call your bank fast.

My bank did a chargeback and priceline did not get a penny. They did not have correct card holder information nor did the place have the card to show the bank. Since Priceline was dishonest enough to use stolen card info to make money I wanted to update this post with some important information should this happen to you. If you see a bogus charge call your bank immidiately. Sometimes they may ask you to call merchant. If you have to call merchant only give them the info your bank tells you to like dollar amount date and last 4 digits of card. Do not ever give the merchant your name, address or any personal info as they may try to use it to trick the bank into thinking the charge is legit when its not. As priceline had no correct name or address of cardholder they failed to prove charge and it was reversed.
