We needed to change our travel date due to a change in date for a 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration (a once-in-a-lifetime event)which we planned to attend. Even though at the time we originally filled out the on-line request, it asked for my (VISA) information, so that in the event an airline accepted my offer, we could decide by pressing a "Buy My Tickets Now" button (which did not exist in this case)whether to complete the transaction or not. However, after exiting the itinerary page, the transaction was completed without my authorization. When we went back in later to check our e-mails, there was a message from Priceline which stated that our reservations had been confirmed.
After spending practically all day with a myriad of customer service reps, we finally received an e-mail stating that our concerns would be reviewed and improvements made. We even received an e-mail from a Customer Service Specialist stating, "We apologize if you are not dissatisfied with out service. Customers are our number one priority, and we work hard to make your experience with us a positive one. Your feedback is appreciated. We apologize for the inconvenience."
Priceline is a totally deceptive organization run by thieves and con artists that hide behind a rigid, inflexible policy to disguise their fraudulant practices. We will never use their services again and will steer family and friends away from this calloused organization which engages in "highway robbery."

Okay for those you think that Priceline.com is a totally deceptive organization run by thieves and con artists that hide behind a rigid, inflexible policy to disguise their fraudulant practices. I hate you break it to you but i work for the company an we are not. Simply put we do state on a contract page that must be signed before making an reservation that reservation once place if it is a NYOP which is name your own price can not be change or cxl. Still i have people calling in trying to change an cxl reservation of this type our travel partners do allow you to name your price because of that policy. READ WHAT YOU SIGN thats all i have to say we don't put reservations in the system to consumer must SIGN for it.

I am also sick and tired of hearing of peoples reaction to Pricelines purchasing policies. It is amazing how they can state that Priceline purchased the tickets "without their authorization". Pricelines policy is very clear. If your price is accepted, they WILL purchase the tickets and automatically charge your credit card. That is how you get the tickets at the low price that you pay. If you want a plane ticket that is refundable and where you can change the date as many times as you want, go and book your tickets at regular price.

I am continually amazed at the ineptitude of people who use the services offered online but do not bother to first learn how those services work. I've used Priceline many times and how their system works is VERY clear. After making an offer, but before entering your credit card details, they clearly state:
Your purchase is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-changeable.
Your tickets will be round-trip, coach class tickets issued on one of Priceline's partner airlines. You must fly on the flights assigned to you. Upgrades and standbys are not available and if any part of the ticket is unused it has no value after ticketed departure time.
Name Your Own Price tickets issued through Priceline are not eligible for frequent flyer miles. Priceline customers are protected by the same airline regulations extended to all passengers, including protection against overbookings and baggage loss.
If we find an airline that accepts your price, we'll immediately purchase your tickets using the payment information you provided.
The parts that nobody seems to bother to read is "If we find an airline that accepts your price, we'll immediately purchase your tickets using the payment information you provided." and "Your purchase is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-changeable."
Why is it that you feel ripped off? Can you not take responsibility for your carelessness in not reading their terms and conditions. It's not even in fine print. It's very clear and stated before you have to even enter your credit card. In fact, it's listed right above that area. I am nor have I ever been affiliated with Priceline, but am simply a hard working person in the travel industry who is fed up with being yelled at, cussed out, blamed for ruining vacations, and being a thief because people are too lazy to read the Terms and Conditions prior to a purchase.
