My name is Paul **** and i was new to Florida. A succesful entrepreneur looking to start fresh in Florida. I submitted me resume on and was contacted by Robert Milgroom. He was very very impressive and told me what i wanted to hear. I have been a top performer for 20 years and have owned multi location businesses so i am qualified for what i was offered. So i do not want anyone to think I was underqualified....and in fact if i was it would show poor candidate selection by mr. milgroom, but that is not the case.

He said as follows,

1) At this stage of your career you deserve your dream job.....
2) there are a ton of companies who are looking for a guy like you....a right hand man who grows companies
3) I WILL EXPOSE you to jobs you could never get exposed to by yourself
4) Your resume sucks......for lack of a better word is how he put it....(actually my resume has gotten me interviews)
5) Business is booming and we are going nationwide and franchising
6) I have been extremely successful my whole life (him bragging)
7) We interview tons of people and turn most down.....yeah right

Okay fast forward to meeting Jeff Shyne in October who administered silly tests that told me my personality and job likes (which took 3 weeks and i could have told him in 3 minutes)......

It took him 3 more months to launch my campaign which should have been a red flag. (Also each meeting i had to remind Jeff what we did was like we had to start from scratch each time)...Plus e-mails were answered most times in about 4-5 days and did not address questions asked.

Then at the 3 month mark i called a meeting with robert and jeff to talk about what could be done.

This is what Robert said,

1) the economy is in the toilet....
2) your resume reads as if you are small time and "Mickey Mouse"....( guys wrote it)
3) now this is where the backpedaling begins because the economy is not great but jobs are still fact i have gotten interviews on my own

** the purpose of the meeting was to address my concerns and i suggested to Robert i can handle bad news but what i can not handle is not being kept abreast of the situation.

*** The meeting ended with jeff stating we are now looking into other industries not hit as hard. He will put his research dept. right on it
also he is now contacting medical device companies

(i feel good about it....they heard me and we are on the same page)

several more emails and it appears jeff is on top of things like re-blasts of my resume with specific changes......tells me patience is key...

it is 2 months from this meeting and i email both men to ask what has been done and robert says for me to look up industries i want.....and i am flabergasted since it was at Jeffs direction that his RESEARCH dept was going to find this out. Then come to find out they did not even do a medical device mailer......They checked a company in St. Louis or something they said.

It was if they never remembered our game plan. Now i was pissed to say the least. I sent an e-mail on 7/7/08.....nothing....Jeff is out for 4 days....No problem...I wish him a happy vacation. Next i get an e-mail from robert telling me i should be PAINFULLY AWARE of the economy and does not answer my questions. I phone at least 10 times and they have a general voicemail box they never answer people back from.....Also they are always with a client or not there. I told the secretary that i find it hard to believe that an office that small she could not locate people for that long.

Jeff then e-mails me on 7/28 telling me the plan of action is that he is doing a medical blast in Florida and reblast in New England. I am livid since i still have no answers from the meeting 2.5 months ago about the research he did.

I leave 4 voicemails and i finally get a call back from both of them. Robert is not pleased and has a very arrogant tone. He interupts me constantly and i finally interject. I tell him i am going to get my 6K worth right now. I tell him i can handle bad news but i want to be kept abreast and talked to like a man. He cockily said, "we can't wait what you have to say"...then he plays the victim and says i have personally attacked him and i laugh and say, "poor robert is gonna take his ball and go home"....i could not believe a grown man was whining like this and trying to turn the tables on me.

I have written recaps like i did at the begging of this stating what he promised me and what he DID NOT deliver. He then says, "I am not going to sit here and listen to your MACHO BULLSH*T".... wow.... i nearly fall of my chair laughing.... A classic case of telephone tough guy and a comment a man of his ilk would never make to me in person. He then gets off the phone and says Jeff will continue to work hard for me. I ask for a 2k semi refund and he says NOWAY...we have worked too hard and too long....

Here is my general complaint

robert promises way too much then disappears
jeff is very slow with follow up and a terrible communicator (but a likeable guy)
Robert back pedals constantly and will never call you back... but he sure knows how to call when he wants that initial $6,400... he knew my number back then

i checked his website and i took this off of it.....I followed the advice and i got told i was dealing MACHO BULLSH*T....

From our inception, we have listened to our clients. We have attempted to identify their complaints regarding other services, and diligently sought to avoid repeating those mistakes. The most common complaints about other services do not regard the quality of their work (though this is certainly a frequent complaint), but rather, such intangibles as not keeping appointments or not returning phone calls. We recognize that our customers time is valuable, and that there is no excuse for unprofessional conduct. Unfortunately, the industry is infamous for such conduct. However, we believe that clients should expect and demand more.


i really hope someone reads this and thinks twice. I have since lined up my own interviews since i have not gotten 1 call from these guys mailers. I did get a call from a 3rd party recruiter who criticized there resume writing saying it was very generic. I have since gone back to my original that was written by a professional who robert referred to as SUCKING....were his words.
