So many lies from Privacy Guard, it's hard to list them all.

#1 - After a $2.95 trial offer (offered through Kohl's), I canceled my subscription to their services on 4/29/11 by phone at 9:30am.  My Kohl's credit card was charged $14.99 on 5/03/11 even after they assured me it wouldn't be.
#2 - When I called PG on 5/09 (5:33) and talked to Ken, he told me that the person with whom I'd spoken on 4/29 said that I'd confirmed I wanted to continue the service.  I told Ken that was an absolute lie and then confirmed that they would immediately discontinue the service, not charge my card again and issue a refund to Kohl's for my charge card, which he said would take 7-10days.  He told me that Kohl's usually refuses to accept their checks and returns them, but that's they way they had to work it.  He also told me that it would take 2 - 3 billing cycles for this to occur.  THEN he stated that as soon as they got the refused check back from Kohl's, they would reissue the check to me in 7-10 days.  I then called Kohl's and talked to Terry (6:18) and she said that was all nonsense, but that Kohl's was not able to delete the charge from my account, but they'd make sure that it wasn't charged again from PG.
#3 - On 6/07 (9:00am) I talked to Howard @ PG and confirmed the account was canceled and he claimed that Kohl's had refused the check and they (PG) currently "were in the process of refunding" a check to me.  He claimed that it would take 15 business days for the check to be issued to me at my address.  At that point, Kohl's now shows that I have $14.99 that I haven't paid and the payment is overdue.  I complained to Kohl's about PG's practices, paid Kohl's over the phone and Kohl's reversed the late charge that'd been assessed and waived the convenience fee.
#4 - On 6/29, I called PG again and talked to Markeeta and she said that they showed the account had been canceled and that a refund check would be issued within the next 90 days.
#5 - By this time, I'm pretty irate and insisted on speaking with a supervisor (Latia Lewis).  Latia then told me that the agents with whom I'd spoken "just didn't understand the way things work" and that I "should've spoken with a supervisor."  She then claimed that while we were talking, she submitted for a refund check to be sent to me and I should get it in 2 - 3 weeks.

Shame on Privacy Guard for their lies and underhanded practices and shame on me for falling for them.  I always go out of my way to keep from calling people liars, but there is just no way around it; these people are liars and this company CANNOT be trusted.
