This place is unsanitary, small, and their billing person, Mary, is incompetent at best. When I first started going there in December they told me that they would check my benefits and let me know, they never did. I started getting bills for 200-300, and I had only been there once. I asked why and she explained that I hadn't met my deductible. I knew this was impossible, because I had just completed a round of PT at another office where I was only paying a coinsurance because I had met the deductible. I then called my insurance company, and they confirmed what I knew to be correct, I had met the deductible. I explained this to Mary, who said she would contact my insurance company and get it straightened out. I stopped going there for other reasons (aside from the lack of sanitation and cramped treating area): the aide's were not
helpful, the physical therapist wasn't as knowledgeable as I felt she should be, and I felt like treatment was all over the place.

Anyway, after 5-6 incorrect bills and numerous harassing calls from her with me attempting to explain that I had definitely met my deductible and to call my insurance company...she FINALLY got it right. I FINALLY received a bill that included a decent balance. I then called my insurance company to compare the EOB with the amount owed stated in the bill, and
it was 80 more then what I should have owed. I called back and asked for the person in charge of billing, someone else- not Mary- claimed to be in charge (I figured they must have changed the position) so I explained to her the situation and she said she would check and call me back. She called back but I missed the call. I called back and got Mary (who
claimed she was in charge of billing. WHO IS CHARGE OF BILLING?!!? Can't we just be honest about our positions. She was abrasive and accused me of canceling 3 appts late and not showing up to another appt all together, which she said they charge 30 each for. First of all, the doesn't even add up to the amount over. I explained to her that I would
be disputing these payments, and just wanted to pay for my services, she answered with a very rude "okay"

I have been to PT at many places in the bay area: Campbell Physical Therapy, OPTM Physical Therapy, and Vibrant Care...all were wonderful, professional, and able to bill insurance accurately. I'm not sure what went wrong
here.....AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, you will thank me...I'm sure they are tacking on random charges to everyone's bills because they do NOT send out itemized statements.
