Before the purchase I expressed my need to have a roadworthy vehicle that did not have immediate problems. I was assured over and over that there was no problems with the vehicle and that it was road worthy and street legal. I was assured that if I found any problems at all that Pro Audio would fix them since I was not able to test ride the vehicle before purchase.
Purchased at the begining of a snow storm I rode the vehicle less than 2 miles home. 24 hours later after the storm I took the vehicle for a test ride. I first noticed that there was no rear brake at all. When returning to the place of business and confronting the owner I was told that I would have to pay for parts and labor. This is not my idea of Pro Audio fixing a new purchase for $2500.00 then paying more to make it safe and street legal 2 days later. I was told that this was a racing bike and that I only needed the front brake and I did need the back brake. My wife interviened since the check and purchase was in her name. She stated that she wanted her check back and to return the bike or purchase another one that had no problems. Johnny (the Owner) then volunteered to make the repair free of charge. 10 days to order the part from overseas and they would do the labor for free. He would call me when the parts arrived from overseas. WOW race bike with brakes yahoo! Bad taste in mouth starting already.....
Next day I noticed there was no rear turn signals. When I returned the owner Johnny told me to use hand signals. And this type of bike did not need rear turn signals although there was turn signals on the front. Clutch and brake occupied by both hands ??? Which would I use for hand signals.... Bad taste in mouth getting wose by the minute...
I went next door to a motorcycle shop and purchased and installed my rear signals lights that the street legal bike did not come with already. $50.00 added to the price
When the parts came in I was called and brought the bike to them for repair. Since purchase of the bike it seemed that it sounded like it was knocking louder than most 2 strokes. I was assured by the mechanic that the sounds were nomal. I specifically asked for them to check all fluids and gear oil since I had no tools to do this myself. To do this would require removing the plastic fairing. I was told evrything was fine.
Brake worked I left feeling a little more confident in the purchase.
Still feeling a little uneasy though about this transaction and my life in the hands of this 20 something year old mechanic , and the customer experince so far, I took my bike to the local Ducati dealer to have this bike verfied to be safe to drive. $100.00 added to the price.
I drove the bike like a little old lady taking small trips and not going to far. Each trip going a little bit further. I started to notice a knocking sound that seamed to be coming from the engine getting louder with each trip.
Less than 30 days from purchase, I returned to the shop and was told that the crankshaft was bad. The mechanic told me this was a prexisting problem and that the owner should take of this for me at no cost. This was not something I had done and had been going on for some time. Of course the owner (Johnny) would have no part of this and starting back peddling on how I should have done this or that to prevent the problem.
So now less that 30 days from purchase I have spent nearly $3000,00 and have a bike with a blown engine(crankshaft).
I take it to a 3rd party only to find out that someone before I purchased the bike, had put heavy gear oil in it. there was barely a drop of oil in it. Which means they did not check or fill it properly. and what was there was burned beyond vescosity no wonder a crankshaft or bearing blew without the proper oil.

The Owner (Johnny) has no idea of how to treat customers. Agressive and hostile. Something Pro Audio does not have is customer service.Every attempt to resolve problems with him resulted in his attempt to turn the situation on the customer to be blamed. Customers are the people who spend money at your establishment and return to spend more money when they are satisfied. Johnny (Owner) showed no interest at resolving his own responsibilities to a customer.They are always right even when they are wrong. When you are buying something from him do not expect him to honor any verbal agreements. Get your agreements in writing. Most of his work is performed by young 20 something kids. He does not monitor their work. You cannot expect quality or experience when these young kids perform service without supervision. Thanks Johnny. I'll chalk this $2500.00 experience as lessoned learned and find someone else to spend my money.
