Long story short i worked with Proficio for 6 months to do a refinace on my upside down house.  They processed it for 6 months and toward the end encouraged me to get a $400 appraisal because it was higher than Freddie Macs appraisal.  Then after the aprraisal was done and they were supposed to close the deal they said i was denied due to a modification on my 1st mortgage i had done in 2008.  I told them about the modification in the very begining and they said it was no problem with the HARP program.  Stay away from Proficio they will rip you off!!  I am still arguing with them to refund me $400.

Regards,

Jonny

Got my refund on appraissal after many attempts

AUTHOR: Jonny - ()

POSTED: Thursday, April 17, 2014

I got my reimbersment  for the appraisal Proficio got me to pay for originally after many attempts.  I just found out that Proficio ordered my second mortgage to be subordinated that CitiMortgage charged me $200 to my 2nd mortgage for the refi they never got through.  Do not use Proficio Mortgage - they are a ripoff!!

Thanks,

Jonny

Details of Loan

AUTHOR: Drenner - ()

POSTED: Thursday, October 10, 2013

I took this loan over from an employee that had quit Proficio. It took months to close his loan because he was denied at 3 different banks for various reasons. As Freddie Mac changed their guidelines on the HARP programs it became more and more difficult to get qualified.  Mr. Perloff had a first and second mortgage and was underwater by $100,000.

Mr. Perloff was denied due to his loan modification which Freddie Mac does not allow.  We had an approval through Freddie Mac underwriting system so it was not known Freddie Mac would not do this loan.  The underwriter did not verify Freddie Mac would not do the loan until the final conditions were cleared.

Mr Perloff loan was short to close by $8,000 which he did not want to bring to closing. I told him if is house appraises for more than the value Freddie Mac gave we could use that appraisal.  Although he was not required to have an appraisal he choose to get one.

I have closed thousands of loans and do my best to put every borrower in a better financial position.  Some issue are out of my control and are unforeseeable upfront.  I had a good working relationship and communication with Mr. Perloff throughout the entire process. I did everything I could to get his loan closed.

Proficio Mortgage has since refunded his $400 for the appraisal
