I only have one account with Verizon Wireless that I have had for over two years and have always paid what they invoiced me for. One day I get a bill from Verizon asking for $65.00 which was unusual. I called Verizon but like most companies they have a substandard automated system that wants me to answer 20 questions and then wait. To they be asked the same 20 questions by whatever service rep answers. I choose to write a corespondence to Verizon requesting info on this matter but before they responded I received a letter from Progressive Management Systems requesting the $65.00. I sent a correspondence to them which they ignored stating that I disputed the charge and was awaiting to here from Verizon what this was about. I then get a call similar to what the other reports that I read on Ripoff stated. They were uninterested in providing any info they just demanded money and were very rude at doing so. I asked them to not call me at work anymore and they stated that as long as the debt was in their office they had a right to call me at work. I have received several calls from them at work. Today I received yet another call. Again I informed them that they were violating federal law by calling me at work. They stated they have the right to call. I called Verizon Wireless and they stated that they never heard of Progressive Management Systems, which from what I have read is a out right lie from Verizon.

Verizon has released me from the $65.00. Progressive Management Systems states that I am no longer in their system, but in my eyes that does not relieve them of their wrong doing. I have filed a complaint with the federal trade commission which these days sems a waste of time. I am going to file a complaint with the CA. Sec. of State whereas Progressive Management Systems Corp Status seems to have be suspended. I would like to file a small claims action against them but I am having trouble finding their Agent for Process. To the best of my knowledge there is no law against me calling them so I have my office staff calling them trying to get the information , but they keep hanging up on us.

I would like to know if there is some legel way of getting out of my contract with Verizon due to this. I have always been happy with their service but don't need the headaches.
