For such a successful "American Businessperson" I am shocked at how irresponsibly Rich Killian manages his personal and corporate finances.  All you need to do is to log into two sites, www.ccrd.info and www.cookcountyclerkofcourt.org and search by name Killian Richard or Killian Richard M.  Note that on his Orland Park office, Mr. Killian is in FORECLOSURE and has hired an attorney to defend his "asset."  Note that on his Schaumburg office, Mr. Killian is in FORECLOSURE and has hired yet another attorney to defend him.  Note that on his "John Hancock corporate apartment" that he promotes to agents and franchisees he is DELINQUENT in assessments and the association has needed to sue him to recover past due assessments.  Note that his home in Lemont has a LIEN in excess of $150,000 for a judgment related to the Prospect Equities corporate offices, known as 1 TAP 500 LLC (Mr. Killian hired an attorney to defend that Oak Brook property too, which is in FORECLOSURE).

Bottom line, as a managing broker, with so many liens, unpaid loans, and unpaid obligations, do you really think this Harvard-educated person is qualified to supervise agents objectively to sell your home, or hold your earnest money?  Probably not.  It's a wonder the financial press hasn't picked up this scam.  All we can say is that if you choose to buy a home represented by this firm, insist that your earnest money be held by an attorney.  As for Mr. Killian, perhaps we could have a radio show where he describes how he can benefit from his "Hardship Home Foundation" to help himself pay his creditors and association that he has obviously refused to pay thus far.

I don't believe this was actually posted

I have been an employee for Mr. Killian for several years now and it bothers me to see a former employee write these things. Raymond J Donahue was introduced to Mr. Killian through Eric Nichols as the two were college friends (Ray and Eric).  Eric had introduced Ray to Mr. Killian in hopes that Ray could find work with the company.  It later came out that Ray couldn't find work in his prior field (real estate and mortgage) due to some legal issues with his background.

Ray Donahue was a former employee of our company and he sent us similar BS emails prior to him quiting and then taking his own life.

I remember when Ray started working for the company.  He was a pretty nice guy and seemed to be pretty happy at first.  He only worked for the organization for a couple months and we all noticed his condition start to worsen and many of us were asking what we could do to help.  Ray had been up and down due to his recent divorce and the fact he was presented with problems visiting his son.  I guess his ex made it hard on him from what he said.  Work seemed to be an outlet for Ray but Ray soon started to deteriorate from his work. Many of us noticed it but to our surprise he lashed out a couple times to Mr. Killian in the office.

Ray would get up and leave at lunch and didn't return for days. Then he'd come back and things seemed fine for a day or two then the same pattern would repeat.  We all felt very bad for Ray and always offered a hand.  On several occasions, Ray had made threatening remarks to some of us and often punched the walls or elevator on his way down to his truck before leaving early for the day.  Ray had sent a couple menacing emails throughout the office and made several incriminating remarks about Mr. Killian which I thought was odd because Ray's friend, Eric Nichols hired him as Eric was a VP at the time for the company. Mr. Killian approved the hire as this was Eric's friend who he vouched for where no one else gave him a chance. It was later uncovered that Ray had a criminal background which is why he had trouble with employment.

It seems that Ray went on to post this horrible message about Mr. Killian which was similar to the office email he sent a while before this.  It seems that unfortunately, Ray took his own life only a few weeks after posting this which was shortly after he resigned from working with us.

We only knew Ray for a very short time and it was obvious that he was a decent man going through a very bad time. I wish him peace and hope for his family.
