I started with this company back in May of 2007.
I was making aggressive $750 a month payments to this company to handle my debts. When things were taking longer than he stated, in September, 'Ryan Parker' said to me that my debt required me to pay off the remainder, and then they could settle everything. I wired them the remaining five thousand dollars from my credit union to their Wachovia Bank Account.
I got back from vacation to find that this company had continued to debit my savings account, even after I wired them the 'final payment'.
At this point, I knew it was a raw deal. I tried to contact them, I got back just before the end of October. They essentially fell off the map. I have been working with my local DA, but he cannot seem to track them down, so I have been referred to the Florida DA's office, when I found there was another case opened up on this firm.
If this company tries to file bankruptcy, they are making off with the money of many people already buried in debt. I cannot see how this is not a criminal case at this point.

These people are claiming to be a financial services company. It appears that Florida is overrun with these types of companies.

What to do

First, I would notify the Duval County State Attorney's office and file a police report. You might want to notify them that they already have a case pending with the suspected person.
The IRS website should provide some guidance on writeoffs.

Looks like Mr Ryan Boyd has been arrested recently a couple of times:
(if this is the guy)
BOYD, RYAN BLAINE DEFENDANT MALE WHITE 03/08/1981
then he is in quite a bit of trouble already.
(based on showcase.duvalclerk.com )
which begs to mention. what do people like me do in this case when we get ripped off like this?
can we file a loss with the government on our taxes, or anything like that? (i'm out over 10 grand)

You likely dealt with Ryan Boyd or Curtis Wood as they are listed as the owners. Ryan Parker was quite possibly an alias. The Jacksonville DA's office will likely have information on Ryan Boyd as he currently has a case pending.

You should also contact the Federal Trade Commission, Florida Attorney General, and FBI. These people appear to have defrauded many people and should be brought to justice. An earlier post suggests they also were responsible for similar operations known as ABBA and Future Financial Direct, Inc.
