Psychic Joan Marie She misrepresented her services and fraudulently charged me with services that I did want and did not ask for. Wilmington Delaware

When I saw Joan Marie's initial advertisment I was curious and accepted the 19.95 risk free services. I was billed and paid the 19.95 for the promotional offer. I was sent a packet with my psychic predictions inclosed. I was not impressed as the predictions did not come to pass. I left it at that. Shortly after that some more "predictions' came in the mail. I thought it might be part of the initial 19.95 offer so I did nothing. Still the prediction did not come true.

I keep on getting packets; none of which came true. I started wondering way she kept on sending me these. Did she like me or something and wanted to keep sending me these as a kind gesture. Finally a letter came in the mail stating that I owed her 79.85. I was floored and sent her a message asking why I was charged this much. She never responded to the letter.

Then I was sent another notice about owing her 79.85. This one said if I was having problems, to write her and let her know and that she would graciously disreguard the charges. I wrote again letting her know that I was a disabled single mom struggling to support my daughter and I. I told her that I did not have that kind of money and did not know why I was being charged that amount anyways. Still there was no response to my letter. It was after that when I received a letter from the collection agency RMCB for the 79.85; dated 12/26/2007. It also stated that if I did not respond that I would be subject to additional charges.

I didn't know what to do and was scared; and since I recently was given a computer from my son I decided to look for information about her on the internet. That is when I found this site. I have always had good credit and have paid all of my bills promptly. But I do not intend to pay this. I hope that it does not effect my present credit status.
