Public Moving Services Promises, promises became lies, lies topped off with total lack of customer service! Charlotte North Carolina

 Received binding moving estimate of $3750.00 (1225 cubic feet) from Adam Gates of Public Moving Services to move from Whitehall PA to Kill Devil Hills NC on 4-24-17. Signed Credit Card Charge for Deposit Only and Binding Moving Estimate on 4-28.17. Pickup scheduled for Wednesday May 17 or Thursday May 18 and delivery scheduled "not before Monday 5-22-17." Contacted by Danny M of QA Public Moving Services to verify inventory and determine if additional cubic feet space required. Requested cubic feet to be revised by adding additional items to inventory. Danny advised 1451 cubic feet at cost $5570.00 and emailed revised binding Moving estimate; however, $1000.00 origin/destination charge added to order to allow access to additional space on truck. $5570.00 equaled $1820.00 cost increase. I was already charged for 226 additional cubic feet, why was I being charged a second time for same thing? I refused to sign new estimate and requested old estimate Movers 2 hours late picking up furniture coming from Maryland and ran into traffic. Arrived 2:30 left 5:30. Wrote check for $2585.00 (75% of balance due) Mover tried to deliver Friday May 19 (before settlement before I owned house) even though stated not before Monday 5-22. Driver delivered different load to Charlotte and truck broke down for 1 week. No one from Public contacted me to advise situation.

My furniture arrived Saturday 5-27-17. I waited 10 days for furniture and was never notified of delay. Driver requested $3447,00 cash for delivery, Angela and Emma demanded $3447.00 or furniture would be sent to warehouse and I would receive $2500.00 charge. She voided my check since could not clear over weekend for Monday delivery. No Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday delivery; yet, she held check for 1 week. Plenty of time for check to clear. I wait 10 days for furniture with no notice of delay, Public Moving has my check for 1 week with plenty of time to clear and voids check, demands $3447.000 cash. That is not right!
