My husband received a letter on supposedly Publisher Clearing House letterhead, you could tell that it inkjet computer printed logo. The letter was saying that he had won $15,000,000 Dollars and he was the Third Place winner of the contest and it was sponsored by Martha Stewart Magazine.

There was a certified check for $5,090.00 was from a company named Satelite and the check was to cover fees. This was first indication to me that there was something wrong with this letter and check because I have worked as teller in the banking field for some years and most certified checks I have seen are from Integrated Payment Systems. So I contacted Citibank to see if this was legitimate account and if funds were available, Citibank told me that this account did not exist.

Also there was number where you need contact this gentleman by the name of Jeffery Weinstein at 888-690-9897 Ext #1 Security code: Z10097BW3 before you deposit the check well when you call this number it automatically tells you to hold for Jeffery Weinstein there is no option to chose his extension and then you are told that he is not available to speak to. Also who ever these people are they have nerve to include a man who supposedly works for the IRS by the name of Harvey Armstrong (514) 699-2389 whose voice mail is always full.

There is so many flags this a scam to get into your checking account, please be careful and do your research. Remember the word "FREE" comes with cost. One more thing it the letter came in plain business envelope with a window and stamp from Canada. Publisher Clearing House I thought was based in USA.
