Publisher's Clearinghouse has been offering sweepstakes for years. After month, after month of items offers you send no money for now you're entered. The items are simple household products and personal items.

This merchandise is so old , they can't give it away.
I bought some eyeglass wipes for four monthly payments equaling $24; the wipes were so old they weren't even moist. The container was so old it looked like it was made in the forties.

Check the items in the offer they send you, be sure to check the brand and the description. Do you really want these items? No. And now you have monthly payments.

Does anyone ever win? Can you prove it? They sent me a letter telling me to be sure and watch my mailbox very closely for a letter containing my name. The prize patrol will be in my neighborhood within a few days they said.

I waited. I didn't see a prize patrol. Nothing happened. But at least I ordered a magazine, I'll never read.
