Pure Nutrients Inc A scam with a twist Orange, Connecticut

We got scammed with the "free promotional sample" that was followed in short order by the first shipment for $93.95 and a bill for $88 for the "promotional" sample. We were unfortunately on vacation when the second shipment arrived and when we returned my wife cancelled immediately. She attempted to return the unopened product but was told that Pure Nutrients did not accept product returns.

I contacted our Visa provider who gave us provisional credit but only if we returned both the promotional and the "paid" product as Pure Nutrients required. I did so and on October 10 Pure Nutrients credited my card for $93.95, half of what I had paid them. My Visa provider has now revoked the other $93.95 credit, so I have paid $93.95 (plus $24 in shipping) for absolutely nothing.

This is perhaps the greatest scam I have ever heard of - if all you do is credit us suckers the $93.95 for the first paid shipment you can circulate the same "promotional" sample around the world and collect $93.95 at every stop. Worse yet, credit card companies can't (or won't) acknowledge the scam and cut these guys off. I am writing to the Wa. State AG about my experiences in the hope that he can at least prevent them from doing much more damage in this part of the country.
