Pure Weight Loss Employees were blind sided and let go once they received a phone call from upper management last wednesday. Lancaster Pennsylvania

I am a former employee of Pure Weight Loss at the Lancaster center in Pennsylvania. My manager received a phone call last Wednesday and when I looked over at her while she was talking to our regional, the tears were streaming down her face. She told me that the company is closing by January 4th. Hours will be cut to 16 hours per week. All employees will be done at that time.

The disturbing part of this experience is that we had absolutely no idea the company was closing. We were signing clients up just 3 business days before the announcement! Our center was one of a few centers that had a few hundred clients regularly attend and the reason is obvious...the weight loss plan worked. It enabled clients to gain control over their eating habbits while eating every food group. We thoroughly enjoyed working with all of our clients and sitting with them one on one on a regular basis...watching them achieve their goals was so inspiring to continue with our own.

If we had any idea this going to happen to not only us but the clients as well...we wouldn't have continued selling them products, plans, and services.
We truly loved what we did, had absolutely no idea the company was going to close.

I don't have much good faith in the company that clients will see their money back seeing how they had no problem what so ever in letting the closing news trickle down into centers as it did.

The clients have lost money. The employees have lost their jobs. It's cooked and the only reason we are staying until the 4th is solely to see our clients before we part.
