On Dec. 12, 2007, I was notified that the Pure Weight Loss center in my area, along with all centers was closing on Jan. 4. This center provdied weight loss and counseling services.

I signed a contract with Pure Weight Loss in October and they were suppossed to provide me services thru Feb of 2009 and was charged a service fee for 20 weeks of weight loss.

One part of their program was that you also had to purchase nutritional bars (LA Lites) at $29.00 a box to stay on the program. I purchased my boxes in advance at a discounted (but still over priced) fee, thinking they would be there until my supply ran out.

Now that the centers are closing, told me to come and pick up my 35 boxes (nearly a $700 value) now. I don't know about the rest of you but I wasn't really paying for the bars - what I wanted was the service.

I feel that they owe me the money that I spent "pre-ordering" these nutritional bars and the services that were not received.

Has anyone else been affected by this?
