Puritan's Pride, INC Could not confirm the purity of their own ingredients! Holbrook New York

 I had been purchasing Puritan's Pride Resveratrol (500mg, 60 capsules) for the past 4 years confiding in their brand as being one that guarantees quality ingredients as well as manufacturing practices. Recently I began doing more research in key ingredients that are meant to assist in the aging process. The key note that was made however, was that whatever product I'm taking would need to contain 99%+ purity or else there's no guarantee of you receiving the full effect. I noticed that Puritan's Pride does not state the purity on their labels regarding their ingredients. Especially the Resveratrol. Considering the fact that Puritan's Pride states that they manufacture their products themselves, I assumed that they would have the means of telling me exactly what the purity was of their Resveratrol product (I didn't ask about any other product, but doubt they'd respond any different than how they did to the Resveratrol request).

After inquiring on their website about their Resveratrol's purity, I received this response 2 days later, "This email is in response to your inquiry regarding product number 31042. Under current bulk number 31043, the product contains "500mg of Resveratrol (from Polygonum cuspidatum Extract (root))" as stated on the label. Unfortunately we do not have a percentage of purity for the product, just the information listed on the label. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." In the same email, they continued on to describe their manufacturing processes, the type of machines they used, and the quality of their ingredients. Again, they being the manufacturers of their own products, could not answer the simple question of what the purity of their Resveratrol was. This leads me to believe that they have been ripping the public off in creating the false idea of "Quality", but clearly not "Quantity" of purity of their ingredients. I will not be purchasing from Puritan's Pride anymore and I suggest that if you are wanting to purchase a quality supplement, that you purchase from a company that actually lists their product's purity on their labels. There are companies that list it regardless of them being high or low (20%-99%). If it isn't pure enough to make a difference, then it isn't worth paying money for.
