I swear these people are racist towards black girls. I haven't seen a pics on their site saying that they have black models. They never book me for any events that I am available for Or they will try to book me the day of an event and respond at  the most 5 minutes later I get no response.  They only contact you so they can say we tried. I got chosen for a casting call beat out many girls mind you I was the only black girl who made it but they still didn't use me even though I would choose the days that were available for work It's because they met their diversity quota. These people should be ashamed of themselves it's 2014 And Black is beautiful.

Concerned about Push’s practices

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, January 27, 2018

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the original complaint/comment. I am a professional model, represented by a reputable modeling agency, and based on my experience from working with a number of clients and industry professionals, I do feel there is a bias against women of color. I signed up with Push Models at least 5 years ago and within that same time frame, I’ve been offered assignments with many other agencies, but have not been offered any opportunities through Push. I understand the competitiveness of this industry, as well as the need to fill roles based on what a client desires for their event, campaign, or what have you, but as the lady stated before, this issue is shared by many other women. Aside from modeling, I am a social media manager with experience in event management, and I also freelance as a creative marketing consultant, so what I offer as a model for Push goes beyond appeasing a client based on physical looks and that is one of the main reasons why I’ve been afforded the opportunity to secure long-term, great paying assignments. If you’re reading this and work for Push Models, I ask that you seriously consider the opinions of everyone. I cannot for sure accuse your organiztion of discrimination, but I am not at all happy with the complete lack of consideration for assignments that I know I am qualified for.

But Racism did exist

AUTHOR: Sesame - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, November 20, 2015

So Maybe PUSH don't "discriminate" but does the client? I have seen one Push job post month ago requesting specifically Caucasian female ONLY...And the joke is for voice- over recording of sort for $1000. Like you can see a person race from voice alone. Who are they kidding? Now tell me if that isn't discrimination?!? But it's client's right to request whomever TheY want; and they do go towards the mainstream, they're paying after all to push their marketing campaign so they choose the person they see best fit; who So it's not PUSH but it is the client.

  1. I am model material sweetheart I do and have work for many other companies and I know when I'm being discriminated against and your probably not black so you wouldn't know anything about that. I am not the only black model who feels this way I've talk to other models as well and after I spoke to them that's when I decided to say something. So you get over yourself. Thank you have a nice day.

Inaccurate and Ugly Accusation

AUTHOR: L. McBride - ()

POSTED: Saturday, March 22, 2014

Wow, how sad that such an ugly, serious and untrue accusation be made and after not being chosen for a few assignments!  As an owner of one of the PUSH locations, I assure you that we not only welcome diversity on our assignments, we absolutely encourage it because one of our main goals in the promotions and live event industry is to engage consumers in compelling "brand conversations"; that is what our clients pay us to do for them.  Since our community as a whole is certainly a diverse place with many minorities living together, we strive for a reflection of the community as a whole when we choose staff.  This is not only a best practice, but an absolute requirement for consumer engagement.  Since we are fairly high profile and we staff events, trade shows and promotions virtually every single day somewhere in the U.S., it is very easy to find many photos and videos of the events we have done. An examination of those will reveal that many of the Brand Ambassadors, Models and Event Staff we work with are in fact, minorities.  When brands hire us to represent them, they often  choose their staff from the pool of candidates we provide based on who they feel may best engage and interact with their target market so they have the ultimate say in who is chosen to represent them.  However, in the hundreds of jobs that I personally have cast, I cannot recall even a single job that did not include minority candidates.  To best serve our clients, our staff needs to be professional, outgoing, friendly, polished and attractive.  Beyond those requirements, we do not care at all what color your skin is.  You also need to realize that this is a highly competitive field and it is not uncommon for us to receive several dozen to even hundreds of applications for each open position.  If you do not possess the aforementioned qualities you will certainly never be chosen as we carefully choose those who represent us, but you would never, ever not be considered solely based on your race or the color of your skin.  Sometimes it just takes perserverance to be chosen, however it is possible that as Stacy proposed, you simply may be unrealistic about your chances in this industry.  Racism on our part plays absolutely no role, and next time I would refrain from being so loose and careless with a serious accusation.  Thank you.
